Local CSR
A new form of social collaboration is gaining ground in which government institutions, civil society actors and the business community join forces as equal partners, something that makes demanding requirements of all participants, given that decision-making procedures take significantly different forms in the private and non-profit sectors. We want to support all three sectors as they engage in such partnerships. In addition, we want to help these collaborative ventures as they increase their professional skills.

Civically engaged business leaders can achieve a great deal. They know their own specific situation and have good ideas on how to solve pressing problems creatively and effectively -- to the benefit of both their company and community. The goal of our campaign is to recognize the diverse range of civic activities German companies are engaged in, in order to inspire others to do the same.

Individual economies around the world are becoming increasingly interconnected, thanks to globalization. The traditional social contract between society and business is changing as a result. Many companies are already actively addressing stakeholders' expectations and organizing their value-creation processes and external relationships to reflect local conditions. They are thus becoming important actors in efforts to ensure that globalization takes place in a way that is fair and just.
